All Pacific Northwest locals love Port Townsend. In the 1970’s this town was about to get a complete remodel. Thanks to the locals (politely, hippies called by some) they saved the town and put pretty much the entire town on the National Registration of Historic Places. The brick buildings are beautiful in their historic architecture. Just outside the city and very close are a fair number of bed and breakfasts, Queen Anne Style Magnificent homes turned B&B. Hotels also abound in town, so you get a choice to fit your style and budget. You need to book a few months early to get a decent selection.
Cheryl’s Northwest Tours LLC will take you from your hotel or SEA airport or pier to Hurricane Ridge, a beautiful ridge overlooking the majestic ridges of several mountains of the Olympic Peninsula. But just look the other way, and you’ll see the Strait of Juan De Fuca and Vancouver Island, Canada. You have GOT to see this to believe it.
This tour is available late spring due to snow, through mid fall (due to snow go figure!).
Seriously, a well rounded tour when you add in Fort Worden, where An Officer and a Gentlemen was filmed. You can also walk the beach by the Tides Hotel, also in the film (or stay there, for that matter). Not bookable on our website, contact Cheryl for details cheryl@cherylsnwtours.com.
