Waterfalls and Mountains

An outstanding Northwest experience is our Waterfalls and Mountains tour. Beginning at your Seattle area hotel, airport, or the pier, the first stop is Snoqualmie Falls. You view the falls at the top, overlooking the canyon where you are humbled by this 268 foot drop falls. The mist of the falls, according to Indian lore, assists the deceased Snoqualmie Indians meet their maker.  Some days you see the peregrine falcons who live across the canyon. Explore the gift shop if you wish.

The waterfall with the trail walk is Deception Falls. You’ll cross the falls via a bridge, then if you like, walk a 1.0 mile trail following 2 stream beds. Depending on the time of year, you will experience it as very loud, or moderately calm as the water pours over the rocks. Any time it’s very impressive. There are interpretive signs along the serene backdrop of river and woods as you stroll along this trail.

The last waterfall is Bridal Veil Falls, where you’ll see it across the valley. This is the area Harry and the Hendersons was partially filmed, and the coffee stand viewing area has a full-size wooden statue of Harry.

The journey through the Cascade Mountains is delightful any time of year. There are 3 mountain passes you’ll cross; Snoqualmie, Blewett, and Stevens, and you can’t help but feel the majestic aura of the mountains. The waterfalls are located nicely midway through the journey, making for nice breaks throughout the day.
